# Pardis Sabeti

> Pardis Sabeti developed statistical algorithms for detecting recent positive selection in the human genome and was the first to use real-time genomic sequencing to track Ebola during the 2014 epidemic. She co-founded Sherlock Biosciences to commercialize CRISPR-based nucleic acid detection. A MacArthur Fellow and HHMI investigator, she also fronts the rock band Thousand Days.
