# Slovakia

> Slovakia punches above its demographic weight in materials science and chemistry, with the Slovak Academy of Sciences maintaining dedicated institutes across more than thirty disciplines. Comenius University Bratislava is the oldest and most research-intensive university, known for molecular biology and chemistry at European level.
